The South West Institute of Technology offers apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational courses. Some of our programmes are offered via different modes of delivery through part time, full time and flexible delivery. External studies and short courses are also available.
An apprenticeship combine structured ‘on’ and ‘off’ the job training. Full-time (30-40 hours per week) and part-time (minimum of 20 hours per week) employment based training program that provides an opportunity for individuals to learn all aspects of a trade. Most apprenticeships are completed in approximately 2-4 years.
Full time apprenticeships and other trade related study can also reduce the term of an apprenticeship. Please contact us for further details.

Fast Track Apprenticeship Program
This program targets people with experience in the approved industries, and delivers training consistent with the relevant Training Package. Participants in this program will be indentured into an apprenticeship as any other apprentice and registered with the Department of Training in the normal manner, with employees eligible for all relevant incentives.
It also allows those participants to achieve a certificated outcome which satisfies industry expectations and needs.

Traineeships
