Offering unparalleled training facilities in the region, the South West Institute of Technology has a policy of maintaining the technological edge and students are trained using the equipment and machinery regarded as industry standard. Recent major upgrades and refurbishment is evidence of this commitment and provides students with the opportunity to use technology and equipment that they will encounter in the contemporary workplace.
The Bunbury Campus has well appointed lecture venues, computer suites, workshops, hair and beauty salons, hothouses, large and small scale commercial kitchens, a library, bookshop, canteen, child care facilities, and student accommodation.
Some of the facilities on the Collie Campus include a Community Services Training Centre with a well-equipped simulated work environment, a Virtual Enterprise Office and workshop. Our Margaret River Campus, a world class training venue for practical and theoretical elements of wine grape growing, cellar operations, cellar door sales and wine tourism industries incorporates a Centre of Wine Excellence that is the premier provider of wine industry training for the cultivation, manufacture and bottling, as well as the promotion of wine sales at the cellar door.
Our facilities can be hired by organisations to run workshops, seminars, computing courses, private functions and events, subject to these activities not impacting on the key delivery and student activities of the Institute.
Inquiries for facility hire can be directed to Delivery Support Services on (08) 9780 7210 or email courseinfo@swit.wa.edu.au
