The South West Institute of Technology has established procedures in the event of an emergency and Facilities and Services manages the implementation of these practices and procedures.

Copies of multicoloured emergency procedures are displayed throughout buildings along with standard fire orders and evacuation site maps. Please take some time to find out where one is located in your building.

Full and partial evacuations are conducted annually so that the Institute complies with current legislation and to ensure that all students and staff are familiar with the procedures in the event of a real emergency. All buildings have wardens who will respond in the event of an emergency.

The Manager Facilities and Services at the Bunbury Campus is the designated Chief Warden, at the regional campuses it will be the Campus Manager/Administrator.
