The South West Institute of Technology aims to provide an accessible learning environment including buildings, services and learning and assessment strategies.

- Individual orientation to the Institute
- Designated parking at all campuses for access to facilities
- Reasonable adjustment of course delivery and assessment
- Assistance with enrolment
- Individual learning support such as
- AUSLAN interpreters
- Notetaking assistance / in-class support
- Specialised ergonomic equipment eg height adjustable tables, chairs, adaptive computer technology
- Liaison with staff
- Library collections of printed and audiovisual reference material
- Liaison with other support agencies
