The South West Regional College is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and strives to reduce or offset its total emissions. The implementation of an energy management programme aims to conserve all forms of energy by eliminating waste and encouraging efficient use.

Some of our initiatives so far have included:

• A energy management system
• Upgrading of lighting to T5 high efficiency linear fluorescent lamps
• Installing string switching of high bay workshop lights
• Reducing stand-by power consumption for computers & office appliances
• Movement sensors and dimming system for office and class room lighting.
