Vet for Schools

Want the opportunity to develop industry and generic work-related skills; gain nationally recognised qualifications and do this while you are still at school?

Then a Vocational Education and Training (VET) for Schools program could be just the thing for you.

VET for Schools allows secondary school students to complete part or all of a nationally recognised vocational qualification and can count towards your secondary graduation. This means school students’ are able to achieve a WACE graduation and at the same time units of competency or a whole qualification from South West Institute of Technology. Parents should discuss their child’s options with their schools’ VET Coordinator. Entry into the program is through the school VET coordinator.

Students can also get started on an apprenticeship or traineeship by becoming involved in School Apprenticeship Link (SAL), or a School Based Traineeship through the VET for School’s Programs.
